Most all-natural, handmade deodorants are full of BS--baking soda, that is. While baking soda is excellent at fighting odor, too much of a good thing may cause mild to severe irritation in some users. Coupled with the odor-fighting protection of zinc and witch hazel, this blend of lemony, green lemongrass and woody, rich cedarwood takes you back to nature, back to your earthy oneness, AND it does a superb job of preventing musty 'pit odor.
The ingredients are simple and effective:
- Non-nano Zinc Oxide: antibacterial and odor inhibitor
- Witch Hazel: astringent, antibacterial
- Lemongrass: analgesic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiparasitic, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, bactericidal, deodorant, fungicidal, sedative, tonic
- Cedarwood: antifungal, antiputrefactive, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, regenerative, sedative, tonic
Ingredients: zinc oxide, witch hazel, lemongrass essential oil, cedarwood essential oil
Application: ALWAYS shake well before EACH USE. Coat underarms and allow to dry. Rubbing in with fingers will help deodorant dry quicker and dissipate whiteness. Washes off hands with soap and water. Only apply to clean underarms. Remove old applications, before applying a fresh layer.
SPECIAL NOTE: You'll notice that your deodorant is a milky white. This is due to the presence of zinc oxide. Many of our volunteer testers found that rubbing the deodorant in with their fingers decreases the whiteness. You'll notice that it also fades somewhat during the day. Please, take this into account, if you're someone who likes to go sleeveless often. If sleeveless is your thing, our roll-on version may work best, since it allows you to place your deodorant exactly where you need it.
None of the ingredients will prevent sweating, as this is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. The purpose of deodorant is to minimize or eliminate body odor, not prevent perspiration.
