Our handmade Sensitive Face & Body soap makes an excellent facial cleansing bar, and is mild enough to use on baby's sensitive skin. The bars are fragrance free, with the exception of the combined naturally occurring scents of olive, coconut and castor oils. A mild nutty aroma with a hint of oatmeal is how we describe it. Smells absolutely fabulous. Don't reserve this soap for only the littlest in the home or facial cleansing, use it all over.
Our Sensitive Face & Body soap contains over 60% extra virgin olive oil. Due to the high oleic acid content of mostly olive-oil based soap, you may notice that the soap is a bit gooey when wet. This is not a material defect. As a matter of fact, we treasure this aspect of olive oil soaps, because it makes the skin feel that much softer. However, it is important that soaps with high olive-oil content not be left in standing water or deep soap dishes that cannot drain properly between uses. When the soap is completely dry, you'll see that it returns to its natural, non-gooey state. Our Sensitive Face + Body Soap pairs up nicely with our Sensitive Skin Whipped Body Butter and our "To Face With Love" Facial Cream.
About Our Soaps
Nandi's Naturals soaps are handmade using the hot-process method, which requires the use of lye to saponify the oils. The saponification process turns the oils into soap. When done correctly, there is no lye left in the final product.
To ensure that the soaps undergo proper neutralization of lye and evaporation of water added during the processing phase, our soaps are left to cure for a minimum of 1-2 weeks. Full curing ensures a hardier bar of soap, lustier lather and a decreased likelihood that irritation will occur. Our hot-processed, handmade soaps retain their natural glycerine, a valued skin protector and moisturizer.
We prefer to handcut our soaps, so each bar will be unique and comes individually wrapped.
